| The GRIP 1 : IRF 3 interaction as a target for glucocorticoid receptor mediated immunosuppression . ^^^ We defined the GRIP 1 : IRF 3 interface and showed that endogenous GRIP 1 and IRF 3 interact in mammalian cells . ^^^ Interestingly , GR and IRF 3 competed for GRIP 1 binding ; GR activation or GRIP 1 knockdown in macrophages blocked whereas GRIP 1 overexpression rescued IRF 3 dependent gene expression . ^^^ Competition with GR for GRIP 1 antagonizes IRF 3 mediated transcription , identifying the GRIP 1 : IRF 3 interaction as a novel target for glucocorticoid immunosuppression . . ^^^ |
