| Here , we report that a mutant with a triple deletion of RAD 23 , DSK 2 , and RPN 10 genes accumulates large amounts of polyubiquitinated proteins , as is the case with a mutant with RAD 23 and DSK 2 deletions under restrictive conditions . ^^^ Dsk 2 , Rad 23 , and Rpn 10 have different capacities to bind multiubiquitin chains . ^^^ Taken together , the results suggest that ubiquitin like proteins , Rad 23 , Dsk 2 , possibly Ddi 1 , and Rpn 10 play cooperative roles in ubiquitin dependent proteolysis , serving as multiubiquitin chain binding proteins . . ^^^ |
