| The pro 4 / pro 5 motif of Shb binds in vitro particularly well to the Src , p 85 alpha PI 3 kinase and Eps 8 SH3 domains expressed as GST fusion proteins . ^^^ In vivo association between Shb SH 3 domain proteins 5 Src and Eps 8 was detected by coimmunoprecipitation . ^^^ PDGF treatment did not affect the association between Eps 8 and Shb . ^^^ |

| The expression of the Shb binding proteins Eps 8 , Src , and p 85 PI3 kinase , PI 3 kinase activity , and MAP kinase activation were assessed in wild type NIH3T3 cells and in NIH3T3 cells overexpressing the Shb cDNA . ^^^ The Eps 8 protein content and Eps 8 mRNA steady state levels were downregulated , whereas the protein contents of Src and p 85 PI3 kinase were unaffected by Shb overexpression . ^^^ |
