| The BRCA 2 interacting protein BCCIP functions in RAD 51 and BRCA 2 focus formation and homologous recombinational repair . ^^^ We further show that chromatin bound BRCA 2 colocalizes with BCCIP nuclear foci and that most radiation induced RAD 51 foci colocalize with BCCIP . ^^^ Similarly , reducing BRCA 2 by 50 % reduces RAD 51 and BCCIP foci . ^^^ These data indicate that BCCIP is critical for BRCA 2 and RAD 51 dependent responses to DNA damage and HRR . . ^^^ |
