| TRPC 1 , a component of store operated Ca2+ entry ( SOCE ) channels , is assembled in a complex with caveolin 1 ( Cav 1 ) and key Ca2+ signaling proteins . ^^^ This study examines the role of Cav 1 in the function of TRPC 1 . ^^^ TRPC 1 and Cav 1 were colocalized in the plasma membrane region of human submandibular gland and Madin Darby canine kidney cells . ^^^ Full length Cav 1 bound to both the N and C termini of TRPC 1 . ^^^ Amino acids 271 349 , which includes a Cav 1 binding motif ( amino acids 322 349 ) , was identified as the Cav 1 binding domain in the TRPC 1 N terminus . ^^^ |
