Here , using fluorescence anisotropy and NMR chemical shift analysis , we have characterized the association of PDZ 1 to the C terminal peptides of the GluR 6 subunit of the kainate receptor , voltage gated K ( + ) channel Kv1 . 4 , and microtubule associate protein CRIPT , all of which are known to associate with SAP 90 . ^^^ The C terminus of GluR 6 , RLPGKETMA oh , lacking the consensus sequence , binds to PDZ 1 of SAP 90 with an affinity of 160 microm . ^^^

In this study , we investigated the effect of PSD 95 antisense oligodeoxynucleotides on the phosphorylation of MLK 3 , JNK 3 and interactions of MLK 3 and PSD 95 with kainate receptor ( GluR 6 ) by immunoprecipitation and immunoblotting . ^^^ Our data show that the antisense oligodeoxynucleotides could inhibit phosphorylation of MLK 3 and JNK 3 and decrease the interactions of MLK 3 and PSD 95 with GluR 6 . ^^^
