| This paper describes a specific interaction between the COOH terminal SH 3 domain of Grb 2 and the NH 2 terminal regulatory domain of MEKK 1 in ER 22 cells overexpressing the EGF receptor . ^^^ This interaction results in the formation of a constitutive complex between Grb 2 and MEKK 1 in both proliferating and resting cells . ^^^ Transfection of the NH 2 terminal regulatory domain of MEKK 1 specifically inhibits EGF dependent JNK activation indicating that Grb 2 is involved in MEKK 1 activation . ^^^ |
