| Rapid tyrosine phosphorylation of Grb 2 and Shc in T cells exposed to anti CD 3 , anti CD 4 , and anti CD 45 stimuli : differential effects of aging . ^^^ Treatment with crosslinked anti CD 45 antibody leads to phosphorylation of Grb 2 and also to a slight retardation in the mobility of this protein in an SDS polyacrylamide gel ; both changes are seen within 30 s of crosslinking . ^^^ Increased tyrosine phosphorylation of Grb 2 after exposure to either anti CD 3 or anti CD 45 suggests that Grb 2 may be a common substrate for both CD 3 linked kinases and the CD 45 phosphatase . ^^^ |

| Three proteins of the Ras signalling pathway were also shown to associated with CD 45 : the GTPase activating protein for Ras ( rasGAP ) , the signalling protein Grb 2 , and , possibly via complex formation with Grb 2 , the guanine nucleotide exchange factor mammalian son of sevenless ( mSOS ) . ^^^ It is possible that rasGAP , Grb 2 and Vav bind to phosphotyrosine residues on CD 45 via SH 2 domains , and such interactions may be specific as other SH 2 containing proteins , including phospholipase C alpha ( PLC gamma ) , the p 85 subunit of phosphatidylinositol 3 kinase ( PI 3 kinase ) . ^^^ |
