| We have cloned and sequenced two genes , rpl 3 1 and rpl 3 2 , encoding the ribosomal protein L 3 of Schizosaccharomyces pombe . ^^^ The aa sequences are identical , except at position 78 , where Rpl 3 1 displays a valine residue and Rpl 3 2 contains isoleucine . ^^^ |
