Recently , intraoperative monitoring of the motor tract by descending spinal cord motor evoked potentials ( MEP ) and compound muscle action potentials ( CMAP ) has been applied in clinical testing . ^^^
Interacting proteins: O76096 and P07711 Pubmed SVM Score :0.0
When recorded as a compound muscle action potential ( CMAP ) , the motor evoked potential ( MEP ) is affected by volatile anesthetics and nitrous oxide . ^^^
Interacting proteins: O76096 and P07711 Pubmed SVM Score :0.0
The evoked activity may be recorded directly from the spinal cord using epidural electrode , or as a postsynaptic volley in motor axons ( `` neurogenic motor evoked potentials , ' ' MEP ) , or as a compound muscle action potential ( CMAP ) from innervated muscles . ^^^ More peripheral recordings of neurogenic MEP or CMAP , are sensitive to the choice of anesthetic , and the latter requires incomplete curarization . ^^^

Central conduction time , threshold , and motor evoked potential : compound muscle action potential ( MEP : CMAP ) amplitude ratio did not change significantly with time ( P > 0 . 05 ) . ^^^

The increase in MEP / wrist CMAP ratio was better correlated with improvement in muscle strength than with change in the axilla or Erb CMAP / wrist CMAP ratio . ^^^

RESULTS : ( 1 ) The motor latency of compound muscle action potential ( CMAP ) of the STH PD muscle was shorter than that of OO . ( 2 ) When the facial nerve was stimulated more distally than the stylomastoid foramen , the CMAP elicited from the STH PD muscle complex immediately disappeared . ( 3 ) Ipsilateral MS was able to elicit the motor evoked potential ( MEP ) from STH PD either at intracranially ( half of cases ) or at the extracranially . ^^^
