| In the present study , we demonstrate using specific enzyme inhibitors and antisense oligonucleotides that both JAK 2 and p 59 Fyn tyrosine kinases are required for the Ang 2 induced tyrosine phosphorylation and nuclear translocation of STAT 1 in VSMCs . ^^^ Rather , p 59 Fyn functions as an Ang 2 activated docking protein for both JAK 2 and STAT 1 , a docking interaction that may facilitate JAK 2 mediated STAT 1 tyrosine phosphorylation . ^^^ |
