E2F 6 is a nuclear protein that can form heterodimers with the DP proteins ( both DP 1 and DP 2 ) in vitro and in vivo . ^^^ In addition , overexpression of E2F 6 suppresses the transactivational effects of coexpression of E2F 1 and DP 1 . ^^^
We showed that , both in vitro and in vivo , E2F6 , DP 1 , and EPC 1 form a stable core complex with repressive activity . ^^^ Using affinity purification , we showed that E2F6 , DP 1 , EPC 1 , EZH 2 , and Sin3B co elute , suggesting the identification of a novel E2F6 complex that exists in vivo in both normal and transformed human cell lines . ^^^
