| SAP 30 , a component of the mSin 3 corepressor complex involved in N CoR mediated repression by specific transcription factors . ^^^ SAP 30 also binds the N CoR corepressor and is required for N CoR mediated repression by antagonist bound estrogen receptor and the homeodomain protein Rpx , as well as N CoR suppression of transactivation by the POU domain protein Pit 1 . ^^^ However , SAP 30 is not required for N CoR mediated repression by unliganded retinoic acid receptor or thyroid hormone receptor , suggesting that SAP 30 is involved in the functional recruitment of the mSin 3 histone deacetylase complex to a specific subset of N CoR corepressor complexes . . ^^^ |

| The mammalian SIN 3 complex consists of histone deacetylases ( HDAC 1 , HDAC 2 ) , several known proteins ( SAP 30 , N CoR ) and as yet unidentified proteins . ^^^ We have shown that TIS 7 protein interacts with several proteins of the SIN 3 complex ( mSin3B , HDAC 1 , N CoR and SAP 30 ) by yeast two hybrid screening and co immunoprecipitations . ^^^ |
