| Three of these genes encode extracellular components of the Wnt pathway ( WNT 2 , WIF 1 , SFRP 4 ) ; two are receptors ( FZD 4 , FZD 6 ) ; two belong to the intracellular signal cascade ( DVL 1 , PPP2CB ) ; one regulates transcription ( TCF 4 ) ; and three represent genes regulated by this pathway ( CCND 2 , CD 44 , MYC ) . ^^^ While SFRP 4 , FZD 4 , FZD 6 , DVL 1 , TCF 4 , and MYC are up regulated , WIF 1 , WNT 2 , PPP2CB , CCND 2 , and CD 44 are down regulated in certain prostate cancer patients . ^^^ |
